Pumpkin Pie Green Smoothie

I enjoyed my week of smoothies so much I am going to share with you one of my favorite smoothie recipes instead of making you wait to see it in my detox meal plan. Even though I regularly eat healthy foods, I still notice the benefits of a raw vegan green smoothie detox. I recommend trying it for a few days to give your body a chance to rid itself of toxins it may be holding on to. Drinking such pure and easily digested smoothies allows your body to use the energy it would otherwise spend on digesting to clean out your cells. You’ll feel (and possibly look) lighter and healthier in the end!
Pumpkin Pie Green Smoothie
makes one meal sized smoothie
1 cup leafy greens (such as kale, spinach, silverbeet, etc.)
1 cup diced pumpkin
2 carrots
1 zucchini
1 banana
3-4 dates
1/2 cup almonds
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp each of nutmeg, ginger, and allspice
2 cups water
- Dice the vegetables to a size your blender can easily handle. Blend all ingredients until smooth. Adjust the amount of water as necessary.
